Henrik Lilja was tied for 10th individually and Campbell was tied for ninth on the team leaderboard Saturday when play was halted by darkness at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate.
The 36 hole was not able to finish due to a mid-afternoon rainstorm that stopped action until 5:00 p.m. Play will resume at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at Lonnie Poole Golf Course. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
With 13 to 15 holes completed of the second round, UNCG leads the 16-team field at 21-under par, eight strokes clear of host NC State (-13). James Madison (-11) is third, followed by Lipscomb (-7) and Virginia Tech (-6). Campbell is tied with Southern Miss at 2-under, one shot behind Eastern Michigan (-3) and two short of Furman (-4) and Elon (-4).
Lilja opened with a 2-under par 70, then made birdie on the par-5 seventh hole to open the second round. He followed with 13-straight pars on the 7358-yard Lonnie Poole layout that plays to par 72. At 3-under, Lilja is six strokes behind individual leader Jason Hong of Lipscomb (-9). Nick Lyerly of UNCG and George Heath of James Madison are tied for second at 8-under.
