BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell returns to action at the Matmen Open, a two day event set to take play at The NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill.
The event, created to take place of the canceled Midlands Championships, will open on Wednesday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. (ET), concluding with quarterfinals and wrestlebacks at 7:00 p.m. Semifinal, consolations, and seventh place matches will begin day two of competition at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, concluding with finals, third place and fifth place matches at 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday will mark the first appearance for the Camels since taking on
then 14th-ranked North Carolina on November 21.
Campbell is ranked No. 25 in the latest
InterMat top-25 poll, with five Camels ranked individually, including No. 10
Josh Heil at 149 pounds. Heil was named the Southern Conference November
Wrestler of the Month, going 4-0 through the first month of the season, with all four wins coming against nationally ranked opponents.
Also ranked in the individual polls are No. 31
Anthony Molton at 125 pounds, No. 19
Austin Murphy at 174, No. 25
Caleb Hopkins at 184 and No. 25
Taye Ghadiali at heavyweight.
Following competition at the Matmen Open, Campbell will head to the Southern Scuffle on January 1.
