BUIES CREEK, N.C. - Campbell softball continues its nine-game home stand to begin the 2021 season, hosting the Eastern Kentucky Colonels for a four-game series Feb. 26-28. First pitch for the series is slated for 1 p.m. on Friday.
All games in the series will have an audio-only broadcast on the Campbell Digital Network.
LAST TIME OUT
The Camels went 3-1 in the Campbell Invitational with two wins over Mount Saint Mary's and one over N.C. Central, with their only loss coming against #12/#12 Kentucky.
The pitching staff and defense were dominant in the three wins for the Camels shutting out the Mount and Eagles in their three wins over the weekend.
At the plate, Kayla Fredendall provided power hitting two home runs against Mount St. Mary's on Sunday and redshirt Bri Bryant led the team with five RBIs across the weekend.

Eastern Kentucky Colonels (4-2)
- Eastern Kentucky comes into the four-game series with a 4-2 record after going 4-0 this past weekend defeating both the College of Charleston and Charleston Southern in doubleheaders.
- The Colonels only losses were to #21/#23 ranked Tennessee
- The Colonels have the highest-scoring offense in the Ohio Valley Conference with 41 runs through their first six games
- Jasmine Miller is second in the hitting in the OVC with a .727 batting average through 11 at-bats.
- Miller is also second in the OVC in RBIs with 7.
- Miller leads the OVC in on-base percentage with a mark of .800.
- Head coach Jane Worthington is in her 29th season at EKU boasting a record of 796-672.
- EKU defeated the Camels in their only previous meeting in 2012 winning 9-7.
ON DECK
The Camels will head to head coach Sharonda McDonald-Kelley's alma mater in Texas A&M (College Station, Tx.) for the Reveille Classic (Mar. 5-7) where they will play Tennessee, Lamar, and the host Aggies.
