NINETY SIX, S.C. – With three golfers among the top seven individuals, Campbell is tied for the lead after Sunday's first round of the Big South Conference men's golf championship at The Patriot Golf Course at Grand Harbor.
Top-seeded Campbell (280) and second seed Charleston Southern (280) both finished the day 4-under on the par-71 Patriot layout. Radford (282) is two shots behind heading into Monday's second round of the 54-hole stroke play event.

Pontus Nyholm and
Edwin Blomander are tied for fourth place at two-under 69, one stroke off the lead shared by Brandon Weaver of Longwood, Ryan Tattan of Winthrop and Charleston Southern's Parker Jones.
Josh Hetherington is tied for seventh at one-under-par 70.
Ranked No. 13 in the nation by Golfstat, Nyholm signed for a 10th-consecutive under par round, including nine straight in the 60s. The senior from Gavle, Sweden, who was runner-up in the 2019 Big South Championship at The Patriot, made five birdies and three bogeys Sunday on the temporary par-71 layout.
Blomander followed up last week's 66 at the Stitch Intercollegiate with a day that included four birdies and two bogeys. After an eagle on the par-5 eighth, Hetherington moved to 4-under on the day, but finished at one under.
Henrik Lilja is tied for 19th (72) and
Romain Lanteri is T35th (74).
Campbell has placed among the top five teams in five of its six outings this spring, including runner-up finishes at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate and Golfweek Spring Invitational. The Camels won the 2017 and 2019 Big South titles at The Patriot.
The three-day, 54-hole event concludes Tuesday followed by Wednesday's match play round featuring the top four team finishers from stroke play. The 2021 match play champion will receive the Big South's automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals.
Campbell will be paired with Charleston Southern and Radford Monday and start from the first tee at 9:40 a.m. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
