Pontus Nyholm is tied for 17th individually and Campbell is 12th on the team leader board after Monday's first round of the NCAA Noblesville Regional Championship at The Sagamore Club.
On a rainy day where only 16 golfers broke par, Nyholm shot an even-par 72 and is four shots behind leader Travis Vick of Texas (68).
The fifth-ranked Longhorns sit atop the team standings at 6-under 282, three shots ahead of No. 8 North Carolina, No. 18 Tennessee and No. 19 North Florida (285). No. 28 Louisville is fifth at even-par 288.
Campbell (307) is two shots behind 43rd-ranked Duke (305) and eight behind 10th-place UT-Martin (299) entering Tuesday's second around.
The 54-hole event continues through Wednesday on the par-72, 7173-yard Jack Nicklaus design with the top five teams (and low individual from non-qualifying teams) advancing to the NCAA Championship, May 28-June 2 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Nyholm, the 15th-ranked player in the country, made four birdies Monday and tied for the lead in 75-golfer field in par-3 scoring (-2). Fellow Swede

A Jack Nicklaus signature design, The Sagamore Club was voted among the top-10 best new private courses in America in 2004. Located on the north side of Indianapolis, The Sagamore Club hosted the 2010 NCAA Division II Championship as well as the 2015 NCAA Division I Regional where SMU shared the team title led by eventual NCAA individual champion Bryson DeChambeau.
