BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell's Caleb Hopkins, Levi Hopkins and Chris Kober have been named to the 2020-21 Academic All-Southern Conference team.

Making his first NCAA Championships appearance in 2021, Caleb Hopkins was the SoCon's 184 pound champion, going 12-3 on the year with a perfect 7-0 record in conference matchups. Also named a National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division I Scholar All-American and the SoCon Pinnacle Award recipient, the redshirt sophomore was one of four Camels to earn All-SoCon honors, and was twice named the league's wrestler of the week, ranking as high as No. 12 in the individual polls.

In his first season on the mat, Levi Hopkins was named to the SoCon All-Freshman team. Hopkins was one of six Camels to go undefeated in SoCon matches, posted a 3-0 conference ledger and a 4-2 overall mark at 197 pounds. He won his final four matches of the season, punctuated by a pin in Campbell's 34-7 win at The Citadel.

Kober qualified for his second NCAA Championships appearance in 2021 after claiming his second SoCon title. Named All-SoCon at 197 pounds, Kober, a senior, posted a 7-2 overall record on the year, with his only losses coming in St. Louis at the NCAA Championships. The Havertown, Pa. native logged a 4-0 record during the regular season, all against conference opponents, including three bonus point wins, ranking as high as No. 27 nationally.

Campbell claimed its third straight SoCon regular season and tournament championships in 2021, going 8-1 overall and a perfect 7-0 in conference duals. The Camels extended their SoCon dual win streak to 16 in the process, going unbeaten through its league slate for the second straight season.

Ranked as high as No. 22 in the NCWA team poll and No. 19 by InterMat, a school record seven Camels qualified for the NCAA Championships in St. Louis, Mo., while first year head coach Scotti Sentes was named national Rookie Head Coach of the Year (Amateur Wrestling News), as well as SoCon Coach of the Year.
