PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. –
Henric Bjelke is tied for 10th and Campbell is tied for ninth on the team leader board after Sunday's opening round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge at True Blue Golf Course.
Playing in his first competitive collegiate round, Bjelke made five birdies Sunday and fired a 2-under 70 on the 7005-yard Mike Strantz design and is five shots behind co-leaders Harry Jones of Wofford and Martin Plukka of Mercer heading into Monday's play.
Campbell junior
Claude Churchward is tied for 31st (73), while
Henrik Lilja is tied for 43rd (74),
Edwin Blomander is T56th (75) and
Romain Lanteri is T85th (80).
After playing their final two holes 8-under Sunday, Campbell is only four shots out of fourth place with 36 holes remaining.
Mercer leads the 18-team field at 15-under 273, followed by Jacksonville State (281) and Delaware (283). Temple, Wofford and Cal Baptist are tied for fourth at even-par 288.
Campbell will be paired with Tennessee Tech and New Orleans Monday and start from the first tee at 7:45 a.m. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.
