CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Gwen Wolkow was named Big South Freshman of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

In two straight-set wins over UNC Asheville and USC Upstate, Wolkow totaled 19 kills (including 3.17 kills per set), three aces, 15 digs and three blocks. The wins helped the Camels clinch their first regular season conference championship in program history.

Wolkow concluded her freshman regular season campaign by tallying eight kills against UNC Asheville, just missing out on a double-double with nine digs. Wolkow had 11 kills against USC Upstate. She hit .385 with just one error, the best mark in a match this season with at least 20 attempts.

The Camels are set to face Charleston Southern in the Big South semifinal on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Millis Center. No. 2 High Point will face No. 3 Winthrop in the other semifinal. The championship match will be Sunday at 2 p.m.
