PALM CITY, FLA. – Edwin Blomander is tied for third individually and Campbell is six strokes off the team lead after Sunday's opening round of the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate.  The 54-hole event continues through Tuesday on the par-72 Hammock Creek Golf Club.
 
Blomander birdied his first hole of the day, the par-four 10th, one of five he made Sunday.  The only blemish on his 4-under 68 scorecard was a bogey on the par-five 15th.  After making the turn at one-under, Blomander made birdies on the second, third and ninth holes to round out the day.
 
Only Kamaren Cunningham of Murray State (66) and Garrett Giles of Iona (67) enjoyed a better day in the 121-golfer field than Blomander, who is coming off an eighth-place finish in Campbell's spring opener two weeks ago at the Sea Best Invitational.
 
Creighton, Mercer and Western Carolina are tied for the team lead through 18 holes at four-under par 284.  Wofford (285) is fourth, followed by Valparaiso (287), Drexel (288), UNC Greensboro (288), Connecticut (289), Campbell (290) and South Dakota (294) in the 21-school event.
 
Campbell senior Henrik Lilja is T25 at even par, while junior Claude Churchward is tied for 39th after an opening round 73.  Freshman Henric Bjelke is T84 (77) and redshirt sophomore Romain Lanteri T115 (81) heading into Monday's second round.
