RALEIGH, N.C. –
Henrik Lilja tied for 10th individually and Campbell finished 11th in the team standings after Saturday's final round of the Stitch Intercollegiate at Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
In an event that included five top-50 ranked teams, No. 46 Duke won the title at 3-under par, three shots ahead of No. 14 Notre Dame and No. 39 NC State. Duke's Quinn Riley (70-71-71—212) was individual medalist.
Lilja recorded his fifth top-10 in nine events this season by finishing at 2-over 218 (74-73-71) on the par-72, 7287-yard Lonnie Poole layout. He led the field in par-3 scoring (-3) and made 10 birdies. Only six golfers in the 83-player field finished in red numbers.
Henric Bjelke (75-73-75—223) tied for 29th while
Edwin Blomander (75-77-79—231) and
Claude Churchward (75-76-81—232) tied for 60th and 63rd, respectively.
Alejandro Cogollo was 71st (81-75-81—237), while freshman
Rasmus Jonasson finished T68 (76-80-78—234) as an individual competitor.
Two-time defending champ Campbell now heads to the Big South Championship, Apr. 20-23 at The Patriot Golf Club at Grand Harbor in Ninety Six, S.C.
