Camels enjoy success at Saturday meets

CLEVELAND, TENN. / GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Campbell track and field team enjoyed plenty of success at both the Flames Invitational and the Aggie Invitational.

ON THE TRACK
Laderique McNeill started the day with a narrow first place finish in the 3000m steeplechase at the Flames Invitational with a time of 9:15.92.

Dorcus Ewoi took first in the women's 800m with a time of 2:08.66 while Athanas Kioko finished third in the men's 800m in 1:52.47.

At the Aggie Invitational the Campbell Men's 400 relay team took the top time with a finish in 40.28.

IN THE FIELD
Tyrell Johnson took third overall in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.82m (22' 4.5").

Jefferson Hutchinson claimed first overall in the men's pole vault after clearing 4.25m (13' 11.25") while Mason Askew claimed third after clearing 3.80m (12' 5.5").

Nicholas Veynovich earned second in the men's javelin after his best throw of the day landed 55.25m (181' 3").
