FARMVILLE, Va. - Campbell returns to the Big South Championship final for the second-straight season as it meets Longwood in the title game on Saturday. Game time is set for 12:00 PM and will be broadcast on ESPN+.
After winning both of its games to open tournament play on Thursday, the No. 2 seeded Camels need just one win to claim the Big South Championship title for the second-straight season. No. 3 seeded Longwood knocked out top-seeded USC Upstate to advance out of the losers' bracket and reach the title game. With one loss in the tournament already, the Lancers need to win two games against Campbell to win the tournament title.
The winner of the Big South Championship earns the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
BIG SOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL HISTORY
- Campbell has won the Big South tournament twice - last season (2021) and in 1993
- Last season the Camels defeated USC Upstate to win its first Big South tournament title in 28 years, earning the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament
- Both Campbell and Longwood have met once in the Big South Championship final before- back in 2016 when the top-seeded Lancers knocked off No. 5 Campbell 10-0 in the title game.
