Four Camels to compete at World Team Trials

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Four current or former Campbell wrestlers will compete in this weekend's 2022 men's freestyle World Team Trials Challenge tournament, set for May 21-22 at the Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa.

Full seedings were released on Monday, with current Camels Anthony Molton, seeded fifth at 57 kg, Caleb Hopkins, seeded ninth at 86 kg, and Levi Hopkins, seeded sixth at 92 kg. Campbell alum Andrew Morgan is also a part of the field, seeded No. 11 at 86 kg.

Among freestyle qualifying competitors, Campbell is one of just seven NCAA programs with multiple qualifiers still rostered, joining Iowa State and Cornell with three apiece. Penn State, Oklahoma State, Iowa and Virginia will also send two current wrestlers to Coralville.

Out of every college wrestling program, all divisions, Campbell has the sixth most qualifiers competing at the World Team Trials counting past and current wrestlers for all schools.

The Caleb and Levi Hopkins, as well as Anthony Molton will be competing for Buies Creek RTC, while alumnus Andrew Morgan will be competing for Spartan RTC.

The tournament will be streamed on FloWrestling and live results will be available at arena.flowrestling.org.
