LEXINGTON, KY. – Campbell has received the USMC-AVCA Team Academic Award as announced Monday. It is the sixth straight year Campbell has earned the award, and the seventh time in eight years of Greg Goral's tenure that the Camels have grabbed the honor.
 
The award, initiated in 1993, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Campbell concluded the 2021-2022 academic year with a team GPA of 3.398.
 
"Academic achievement does not happen by accident," said AVCA Executive Director Kathy DeBoer. "I'm so proud of the hundreds of coaching staffs that make excellence in the classroom a priority."
 
This season, 13 players were named to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll with six of those posting a GPA above 3.75.
