Camels face NC A&T to round out regular season

BUIES CREEK - Campbell is set for the final weekend of the regular season with a trip to Greensboro to face NC A&T. The Camels and Aggies are no strangers, formerly Big South foes now squaring off in the CAA regular season finale.

Campbell (14-12, 11-5) has already clinched its spot in the CAA Tournament, set to be held from Nov. 16-18 in Towson, Maryland.

Series History
The Camels and Aggies have met 35 times, with CU owning a commanding 30-5 advantage. Campbell has won 13 straight over A&T, with the last loss coming back in 2005. The pair last met as Big South foes in 2021, with Campbell sweeping the matches with a pair of five-set wins.

Know Your Opponent
NC A&T enters the final weekend 8-16, 6-10 in the CAA, and already eliminated from postseason contention. The Aggies are on a four-match slide following a tough stretch against Towson and at Delaware.

Naiya Sawtelle leads the CAA in kills with 347, good for 3.81 kills/set. Sawtelle has been the Aggies top attacker for three seasons now, and has already surpassed 1000 career kills as a junior.

A&T is led by head coach Morgan Demeny.

Last Time Out
Campbell concluded the home portion of the season in style, taking a pair of matches over Hampton 3-1, 3-0. Chloe Cook earned CAA Offensive Player of the Week honors after posting 28 kills and a .400 hitting percentage for the weekend.

Sunday's win saw the Camels honor four seniors pregame, and be able to celebrate the senior class and clinching a postseason spot after the game.

Upcoming Milestones
Two Camels have a shot to reach the 1,000 kill mark this weekend. Melody Paige sits just seven kills shy of the mark, and Chloe Cook just 20 shy. The duo would be the 13th and 14th players in program history to reach 1,000 kills, and the first since Sarah Colla did so in 2021.
