Camels return to action at UNCW

BUIES CREEK - The Camels are on the road for CAA action this weekend at UNCW. First serve is set for 4 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday with both matches streaming on FloSports.

Series History
The Camels and Seahawks have met for 51 times, but will meet as CAA foes for the first time this weekend. Campbell is 17-34 all-time against UNCW, but won the last meeting 3-0 in Wilmington in 2021. Campbell is 2-5 against UNCW under Greg Goral.

Know Your Opponent
UNCW enters the weekend atop the CAA standings as the only 4-0 team. The Seahawks have swept weekends over both NC A&T and Elon to begin league play. UNCW went 3-7 in non-conference action with three wins of Presbyterian, Queens, and Alabama State.

The Seahawks feature a balanced attack with four players between 93 and 102 kills, led by Alexa Brezault at 102.

UNCW was selected to finish 11th in the CAA preseason poll.

Last Time Out
Campbell swept the weekend with William & Mary with a three-set and five-set win over the Tribe. Claranne Fechter put up 22 digs in just three sets Saturday to lead the win, while fellow senior Chloe Cook posted a career-high 22 kills to help pull out Sunday's five-set win.

The sweep made Campbell winners of three straight matches, its longest of the season. That will be put to the test against UNCW who has now won four in a fow.
