Series History

Campbell is 0-4 all-time against Georgia Southern. The teams last met for the 2019 season-opener that the Eagles took in straight sets. This will be Georgia Southern's first-ever trip to Buies Creek.

Campbell and UTSA have never met.

About The Field
San Jose State bring a 4-2 record into the tournament after going 2-1 at each of its first two weekend tournaments. SJSU is coming off a 21-9, 14-4 season in the Mountain West, and was picked to finish eighth in this year's preseason poll.

UTSA also comes into the weekend at 4-2 after hosting a pair of tournaments to begin the year. The Roadrunners will look to get back on track after dropping their last two matches against Delaware and Tarleton State. UTSA was picked to finish 7th in the AAC West Division this season.

Georgia Southern brings a perfect 5-0 record to Buies Creek and has dropped only one set all season. So far The Eagles are hitting .293 as a team, putting them in the top 25 nationally in the category. GSU went 16-12, 7-7 a season ago and were picked to finish fourth in the Sun Belt east division.

Last Time Out
Campbell won its home opener in five sets Tuesday night against NC Central. The Camels rebounded from dropping the first set to pick up their second win of the season. Abbie Tuyo led the way with 16 kills, while it was a balanced defensive effort with five Camels notching 10+ digs.

Looking Ahead
Campbell's first season of CAA play begins next weekend with the Camels traveling to Delaware for a pair of matches against the Blue Hens. Both matches will be streamed on FloSports.
