Camels visit Elon for weekend series

BUIES CREEK - The Fighting Camels return to the court this weekend at Elon in search of their first CAA win. Both matches will be streamed on FloSports.

Series History
The Camels and Phoenix have squared off 17 times, with the Camels holding a 12-5 advantage. The teams last met in 2016, having not met last year in the CAA schedule. This weekend will be the first-ever meeting between the two as conference foes.

Know Your Opponent
Elon enters at 10-7, 4-2 in the CAA. The Phoenix opened CAA play with a pair of defeats against Charleston, but have since reeled off four straight-set wins in a row over UNCW and Hampton. They also own wins over NC Central and Presbyterian, a set of shared opponents with CU that the Camels split with.

Sydney Love leads the attack with 3.23 kills/set, while Carolina Berlekamp ranks third in the CAA hitting .348 on the year.

Last Time Out
Campbell was defeated twice by Hofstra last weekend, once in five sets and the other in three sets. Gwen Wolkow posted a career-high 23 kills in Saturday's five-set loss, but it wasn't enough to carry the Camels to their first CAA win. Wolkow notched 10 more kills Sunday, but the offense was largely stifled in a straight-set loss.
