BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Campbell Fighting Camels reached the NWCA Coaches' top-25 rankings for the first time this season, coming in at number 24.
The Camels have recorded eight straight dual victories, highlighted by wins over App State and Central Michigan. They are just coming off two 29-point victories in conference play – a 35-6 win over The Citadel and a 36-7 win over Bellarmine.
Â
"It is great to get recognition," said head coach Scotti Sentes. "But recognition is all that it is. Right now, our focus is on continuing to improve and finishing out the season the right way. Getting better is the daily focus, regardless of recognition."
The Camels are also ranked No. 6 in the NWCA Mid-Major Coaches Poll, behind Cornell, South Dakota State, Lehigh, Northern Iowa and Little Rock.Â
In addition, six Campbell wrestlers are ranked in the initial NCAA Coaches' Rankings (released 1/22).
