Camels to host Charleston

BUIES CREEK - The Fighting Camels return home for the first time since Sept. 6 for a home CAA series against Charleston. Campbell will look to remain unbeaten in league play after a 2-0 start at William & Mary.

The Camels own a 10-3, 2-0 record on the year as they approach the halfway point in of the season.

Series History
The Camels and Cougars have met 20 times, with the Camels sitting at 4-16 in those meetings. Recent history has been better for the Camels, with the sides splitting the four meetings 2-2 since Campbell joined the CAA in 2023. Campbell and Charleston have met only five times since 2000. 

Scouting the Cougars
Charleston, voted the CAA preseason favorite, brings an 8-6, 2-2 record into Buies Creek. The Cougars began CAA play by being swept at Towson, before returning home to sweep Hofstra. 

Freshman libera Jumana Martin has made an early impact, ranking second in the CAA and 16th nationally in digs thus far with 259 already on the year. The offense is anchored by Caroline Noonan and Izzy Marinelli, both with 150+ kills.

Last Time Out
Campbell got off to a hot start to CAA play, sweeping William & Mary with a pair of 3-1, 3-0 wins in Williamsburg. Campbell's defense set the tone with 10 blocks in Friday's win, and then held the Tribe to hitting .098 in Saturday's victory. 

Gwen Wolkow and Maja Daca led the way on the other side of the ball with 23 and 21 digs, respectively, and 19 digs apiece on the weekend. 

Looking Ahead
Campbell makes the short trip to the coast to visit UNCW. First serves are set for Friday 6pm and Saturday at 2pm.
