BUIES CREEK, N.C. – For the third week in a row and the fifth time this season, the CAA announced Jasmine Nivar as its Rookie of the Week.
 
The freshman from Apex helped Campbell to a 2-0 week and improve to 3-1 in CAA play. Nivar also extends her school record for conference rookie of the week awards in a single season.
 
Nivar set a new career high with 24 points in the win over Elon on Friday, just three points shy of the Campbell freshman record. She scored 12 of those points in the fourth quarter in the come from behind win against the Phoenix, going 7-of-9 from the free throw line in the final frame. She rounded out her stat line with four rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
 
In Sunday's win over William & Mary, Nivar notched eight points, five rebounds, three assists, three steals and a block.
 
The Camels are back on the court this weekend with road games against Northeastern and Monmouth.
