BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Apex native Jasmine Nivar earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors for the sixth time this season, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
 
Nivar led the Camels to a 2-0 week, earning come-from-behind wins over both Hofstra and UNCW. Against Hofstra, Nivar led all scorers with 17 points, 15 of which came in the second half. She stuffed the stat sheet further with six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
 
The freshman from Apex led the Camels again on Sunday, scoring 13 points to help CU erase an eight-point halftime deficit against the Seahawks. She converted two free throws with 12 seconds remaining to put Campbell ahead by four in the final moments. She added eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal in the two-point victory.
 
After the 2-0 week, Campbell has sole possession of second place in the CAA standings with three weeks to play. In its next contest, CU faces off against Elon on the road Friday night.
