Camels begin postseason play Saturday

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Fighting Camels are set to begin postseason play against 8-seed Stony Brook in the second round of the CAA Championship. The tournament is at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C.

The ninth-seeded Camels will look to win four games in four days in order to take the CAA title, with the championship game to be held Tuesday night at 8 p.m.

A win over Stony Brook would advance the Camels to face top-seeded UNCW Sunday at noon.

Championship History
Campbell is in search of its first win at the CAA tournament, falling in their first game in each of the last two seasons since joining the league. Campbell's last postseason win was the 2023 Big South semifinal, downing Radford on a buzzer beater to reach the Big South title game.

All-CAA
DJ Smith was named first-team all-CAA, and Jeremiah Johnson tabbed third-team. Smith ranked second in league play in scoring (19.7 ppg), with Johnson ranking 10th (16.8 ppg).

Previous Meeting with Stony Brook
Campbell fell at home to Stony Brook 81-69 on Jan. 29. The shorthanded Camels were without Dovydas Butka in the matchup, and saw the Camels beat 36-28 on the glass. DJ Smith led all scorers with 20, while a pair of Seawolves, Erik Pratt and Andrej Shoshkikj had 19 apiece.
