Camels set for No Quarter Invitational

BUIES CREEK - The Camels are set for their final weekend of non-conference play at the No Quarter Invitational in Greenville, NC. The Camels will square off against Maryland, Old Dominion, and East Carolina in the three-day event.

Series History
The Camels are just 9-34 all-time against ECU, and are winless in the last five meetings, having not earned a win since 2013. 

Campbell is 0-1 against Maryland, dropping the only meeting in straight sets in 2002. 

Friday will mark the first-ever meeting between Campbell and Old Dominion. 

About The Field
Maryland enters with a 7-1 record, with the only loss coming at Vanderbilt. The Terrapins sit sixth in the nation with a .329 team hitting percentage, thanks to four players boasting 40+ kills on better than .300 hitting. The defense is nearly as stout, holding opponents to hitting .147, good for 18th nationally. 

Old Dominion carries a 4-4 record into the weekend following a 2-0 home weekend beating Navy and UMES. The team is led by Leilani Lawrence, ranking eighth nationally in points per set (5.27) 12th in aces (22) and 21st in kills (121). 

East Carolina sits at 5-4 with a win over Wake Forest on the resume. The Pirates lean heavily on Ellie Pate, who is 16th in the country in total attacks and 35th in total kills (131). 

Last Time Out
Campbell went 1-2 during the Campbell Invitational, toppling Stetson and falling to Ball State and Furman. 

Victoria Tupy earned a spot on the all-tournament team, notching 33 kills and 33 digs, with a pair of double-doubles against Stetson and Furman. 

Looking Ahead
Campbell hosts UNCW in the opening weekend of CAA play. First-serve next Friday night is slated for 6 p.m.
