BUIES CREEK, N.C. -- The Fighting Camels will face three non-conference opponents this weekend, with two home games at Jim Perry Stadium and a road contest against a top-10 team. Campbell will host Canisius College Friday, March 2 before traveling to Raleigh, N.C. to take on No. 10 NC State Saturday, March 3. CU wraps up the weekend with a home game against Bowling Green on Sunday, March 4.

Campbell Fighting Camels (3-5)
- The Camels have won three of their last four, most recently defeating the Pepperdine Waves at home Wednesday night 15-2.
- CU notched 11 hits, a season-high 12 walks and four HBP in the win over Pepperdine, posting a team on-base percentage of .569 for the game.
- Campbell is hitting 43-for-138 (.312) over its last four games, led by senior infielder Christian Jones who has gone 8-for-15 (.533) with two doubles and six RBI over that stretch.
- Junior right-hander Michael Horrell is the reigning Big South Starting Pitcher of the Week. The Thomasville, N.C. native struck out 10 batters with no walks, holding the Western Michigan Broncos scoreless over 7.0 innings of work last Saturday. He was the first Camel with double-digit K's since April 15, 2016 when Nick Thayer fanned 10 against Liberty.
Canisius Golden Griffins (5-2)
- Canisius rides a five-game winning streak into the Creek, outscoring its opponents 44-21 over that span.
- The Golden Griffins most recently swept Western Carolina last weekend. Mark McKenna hit 6-for-12 (.500) in the series, while Canice Ejoh and Ryan Stekl each went .467 and .438, respectively, with seven hits each.
- J.P. Stevenson was named MAAC Pitcher of the Week after firing a complete game shutout against the Catamounts. He went the full seven innings, holding WCU to two hits with six K's and no walks.
- Tyler Smith ranks seventh in the nation with three saves early in the season. He has yet to allow a run this year, pitching 3.0 scoreless innings across three appearances with three strikeouts.
No. 10 NC State Wolfpack (8-1)
- The Wolfpack has won six-straight and is ranked 10th by Perfect Game following the second week of the season.
- The Wolfpack bats have been hot through the first two weeks, as NC State ranks fourth in the NCAA in home runs (17), ninth in hits (107), 13th in batting average (.341) and 14th in runs scored (78).
- Brett Kinneman leads the Wolfpack with a .487 average and leads the nation with seven homers and 23 RBI on the year. He was most recently named National Player of the Week by four publications after the junior outfielder hit five home runs in his last four games.
- NC State's Saturday starter Johnny Piedmonte boasts a 2.08 ERA with a 2-0 record on the season. The right-hander has collected 12 K's over 13.0 innings pitched this spring.
Bowling Green Falcons (2-6)
- The Falcons have played all eight games on the road so far this year, most recently falling at Eastern Kentucky 9-0.
- Randy Righter is Bowling Green's top offensive threat, posting a team-high .313 average over the first eight games of the season with 10 hits and seven runs scored.
- Jeff Scott leads the Falcons with two home runs and eight RBI in 2018.
- Brad Croy is a two-way threat for Bowling Green, as the right-hander owns a 0.00 ERA and a .357 batting average for the Falcons, both of which lead the team.
Following the weekend, Campbell will play NC State for the second time in four days as the Wolfpack visits Buies Creek Wednesday, March 7. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. at Jim Perry Stadium.
