BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell will make its only scheduled home appearance of the 2020-21 season on Saturday, hosting Southern Conference duals against Appalachian State and Gardner-Webb inside the Pope Convocation Center.

Campbell and Appalachian State will take the mat first at 3:00 p.m., followed by App State and Gardner-Webb at 4:30 p.m., and Campbell and Gardner-Webb closing out the day, with individual exhibition bouts to follow each dual.

No spectators permitted inside the arena, however, all three matches will be carried on both ESPN+ and Facebook Live.

Last time out, Campbell swept a Saturday tri-meet in Lexington, Va., topping both Ohio and VMI by a 73-6 combined score.

The Camels (2-1) defeated Ohio (1-4) 34-6, then shut out VMI (1-2) 39-0, in their first SoCon dual of the 2020-21 season. The shutout was Campbell's first since defeating Presbyterian 55-0 last season (January 25, 2020).

The win over Ohio marked the first dual victory for first year Campbell head coach Scotti Sentes.

The Camels claimed eight bouts against Ohio, including three forfeits, then earned four bonus point wins, including three technical falls and a pin to power over VMI.

184 pounder Caleb Hopkins was named SoCon Wrestler of the Week after leading the Camels to the Saturday sweep. The redshirt sophomore posted a pair of bonus point wins, including a 16-3 major decision over Ohio's Carson Brewer, then the day's only pin, topping VMI's Chase Mielnik (3:46).

Hopkins is already the second Campbell product to earn SoCon Wrestler of the Week honors this season, joining Benjamin Barton (January 6).

App State is also 2-1 on the season, sweeping Bellarmine (45-0) and Davidson (38-0) to open its SoCon schedule last weekend, while Gardner-Webb heads into Saturday's duals at 0-5, most recently falling to Chattanooga (22-13) and The Citadel (32-9).

CU has claimed the last four matchups against Gardner-Webb, and the last two meetings against Appalachian State, including last season's 20-13 win in Buies Creek.
