EUGENE, ORE. - Dorcus Ewoi earned second team All-America honors in the 800m at the NCAA Championships Thursday night at Hayward Field.

Ewoi improved her own school and Big South record, finishing with a time of 2:03.17.

The Kitale, Kenya native held the eighth-fastest time overall in the semifinal round, but missed out on qualifying for Saturday's event final.

Ewoi's heat finished with the four fastest times overall. Baylor's Aaliyah Miller finished with final qualifying time, just 0.12 seconds ahead of Ewoi.
