FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. | LYNCHBURG, Va. - Chastity Pickett improved her own school record in the 60 meter hurdles as Campbell wrapped up competition at the Tyson Invitational and Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational on Friday.
Going up against top sprinters from around the country at the Tyson Invitational, Pickett started her day by posting a time of 8.36 in the 60 meter hurdles qualifying. She advanced to the preliminary round for the event, posting a new school record time of 8.23.
Pickett advanced to the event final where she ended her day with a false start.
Several Camels set personal records at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational including Kailey Elliott who set personal best times of 7.76 in the 60 meters and 8.68 in the 60m hurdles.
Andre Bent set a personal best in the 60 meters with a time of 6.83, qualifying for the event final tomorrow. Jaden Jenkins' time of 8.12 in the 60 meter hurdles also qualified for the finals of the event tomorrow.
