Camels set program top 10 marks at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, NC - Seven different program top 10 marks were set to highlight Campbell's performance at the Duke Invitational this weekend.

Emily Pierce paced the Camels with a pair of program top 10 marks, now at third overall in the 800m (2:11.63), and fifth in the 1500m (4:29.11). Both times were new PRs for the junior.

Delaney Horton posted the seventh-fastest time for the program in the 5000m (17:21.17), with Emelyn Lacour logging seventh in the 3000m steeplechase (11:16.62).

Amanda Ballard got on the board with a 100m time of 11.83, good for 10th fastest in program history and a PR. Her time placed 14th among 92 runners in the event at the Duke Invitational, just ahead of Ty'Nasia Emory in 18th at 11.88.

Both Janelle Caldeira and Elise Graves posted top-10 marks in the heptathlon. Caldeira now sits in third after scoring 4161, and Graves in eighth with a score of 3230.

On the men's side, Mario Cantarero set a PR in the men's 1500 at 3:58.65. Jacob Morrison set a PR in the men's 800 at 1:55.49.

The Fighting Camels return to action with a split week between the Wake Forest Invitational April 16-17, and the Aggie Invitational April 17-18.
