AUSTIN, TEXAS - Dorcus Ewoi and Chastity Pickett advances to event finals at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships from Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Ewoi posted the third-fastest time in the 800m semifinals, using a late push down the final stretch to cross the finish line in 2:01.12. Improving on her own school and Big South record, Ewoi will compete for an individual title in the event on Saturday.
Pickett automatically qualified for the 400m hurdles final after finishing second in her heat with a time of 55.62. Her time ranked as the second-fastest overall in the event semifinals. Pickett, who also improved her own school and Big South record, is also set to compete for an individual title on Saturday.
On Saturday, Ewoi will compete in the 800m final at 10:14 PM (both times EST) with Pickett following immediately in the 400m hurdles final at 10:27 PM.
