Logan Heckert
On his hot streak to end the tournament with three straight pins:
"Typically, I will kind of start slow in a tournament. Like, my body is still waking up. My first match I still dominated, but I wanted to clean up a few things. Once I finally did that and the tournament progressed, I got more confident in myself and in my wrestling to where I could just go out there know that I wasn't going to lose.
On where is wrestling has improved the most during his time at Campbell:
"Wrestling on my feet, getting takedowns and chaining shots together. That's one thing I struggled with in high school, and I've been working on that the majority of the year."

On his overall performance at the event:
"Going into it, I knew it was an open tournament, but I did do better compared to the other two that I've been to. I was expecting a little lighter competition, which it was, but I still had the same mindset going in, trying to score points and generate offense and work on areas that I've been practicing in the room. I feel like I did that, and it was translating on the mat. I feel like I could have been more dominant in my final match. I feel like I still played it safe, was smart, and still got the major decision."
On his biggest improvement during this freshman season:
"Having more sense of intent with everything I do. A collar tie is not just a collar tie, I need to use that to either move my opponent or move myself. It's having weight with my hands. Taking everything from just doing it, to having intent in everything I do is probably the biggest thing that I feel has made me jump to where I am versus where I was when I got here."
