HIGH POINT, N.C. - Campbell opened the outdoor track & field season with two school records at the Bob Davidson Team Challenge from Vert Stadium on Saturday.
The CU women's 4x100m relay team of Jaidyn Ramsey, Chastity Pickett, Brianna Clayton and Aaliyah Harris set a school record and took first overall with a time of 44.58. Pickett also set a school record in the 200 meters with a time of 23.33w.
Clayton took fifth in the 100 meters with a time of 11.69 while Harris finished ninth with a time of 11.84. Freshman Aaliyah Brown-Muhammad finished third in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.66.
Autumn Judd led the Camel throws with a third place in the shot put with a mark of 13.51m (44' 4") and a third place and personal best in the discus with a mark of 48.59m (159' 5").
Ja'Darien Parker ran an outdoor personal best time of 48.12 in the 400m, taking second overall. Jamel Miller ran a personal record 10.32w in the 100m for third in the event.
The men's 4x400m relay squad of Dominique Alexander, De'Shawn Ballard, Terris Burton and Jamel Miller finished second with a time of 3:11.14.
In the field, CJ McBride captured second in the high jump after clearing a height of 2.10m (6' 10.75"). Zach stein-Drago took first in the javelin and set a personal best with a mark of 60.43m (198' 3").
The Camels return to action next weekend (Mar. 29-30) at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla.
