CAA Record highlights Florida Relays

GAINSVILLE, FLA. - A new national best time and a CAA record highlight Campbell's time at the Pepsi Florida Relays at the Percy Beard Track in Gainsville this weekend.

Chastity Pickett stood atop the podium with a time of 55.70 in the 400m hurdles. That time is the best in the country so far this spring and a new CAA record, beating the old mark set in 2016 by 1.34 seconds.

Pickett also placed fifth in the 100m hurdles with a 13.17, a time still good for 20th in the nation this season.

Jaidyn Ramsey earned a podium spot finishing third in the 100m, clocking in at 11.32.

Jamal Miller highlighted the men's side for Campbell during the weekend. Jamaler Miller took third in the 100m with a time of 10.19 (-0.3), 22nd in the nation so far this spring and only .02 short of a CAA record. He ran the opening leg of the 4x100 relay that saw Campbell finish second in a loaded field at 39.22, good for sixth in the country and a new CAA record for the Camels, besting the old mark by 0.43 seconds.

De'Shawn Ballard reached the podium in the 400m at 45.93. Jamel Miller placed sixth in the 200m with a 20.48 to lead a trio of Camels in the top 15.

The Camels return to action next weekend at the VertKlasse Meeting at High Point April 5-6. Follow @GoCamelsTFXC for the latest team updates and content.
