CHARLOTTE – The Fighting Camels field team wrapped up the 2024 regular season at the Charlotte Invitational at Irwin Belk Track in Charlotte.
Omare McBride took second place and set a season-best in the women's triple jump with a mark of 11.98m.
Carson Key also had a season-best on the men's side to finish fourth at 13.96m.
Freshman
Emily Pierce was CU's only track athlete at the event and made the most of that, grabbing second in the women's 1500 with a season and personal-best time of 4:40.52.
Ticora Gaskin finished fifth in the women's long jump at 5.77m.
Autumn Judd had her best placement of the weekend in the discus, grabbing sixth with a mark of 46.72m.
Omar Ibrahim also grabbed sixth for his best finish, coming in the hammer throw at 51.52m.
The Camels will now gear up for postseason action at the CAA Championships May 9-10 at Elon.
