BUIES CREEK - Two Camels earn preseason all-CAA honors in 2025 preseason voting. Gwen Wolkow was tabbed all-conference while Maddie Lambers was selected as preseason honorable mention.
Wolkow is poised for a big senior year after leading the Camels in kills (250) and finishing second in digs (200) a season ago. The Downers Grove, Ill. natitve now has back-to-back seasons with 200+ kills and digs, despite missing five matches in 2024.
This marks the second straight year Wolkow has been tabbed preseason all-conference, and the second year in a row she represents Campbell's leading returner in both kills and digs.Â
Maddie Lambers will look to build on a stellar freshman campaign that landed her on the CAA all-rookie team in 2024. The Cincinnati, Ohio product led the Camels, and all CAA freshmen, with a .289 hitting percentage last year. The mark was good for eighth overall in the league. Her hitting percentage was also the second-best in program history by a freshman.Â
The 6-3 middle blocker also posted 49.0 blocks, third best on the squad.
