LYNCHBURG, Va. — Mario Cantarero set a new program record in the 500m as Campbell track & field shined at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invite at Liberty Indoor Track Complex.
ON THE TRACK
Cantarero clocked in with a time of 1:05.49 to take tenth in the event setting a new school record and surpassing the previous mark that was set back in 2012.
Bryce Lofton took first in the men's 60m dash with a time of 6.78 to move into seventh all-time in program history. Lofton also finished 19th in the men's 200m invite with a time of 22.29.
Seth Nelson finished 10th in the men's 300m with a time of 36.41 just behind ninth place finisher Sebastian Calderon (36.07).
Jacob Morrison placed 11th in the men's 800m Open with at time of 1:57.47.
Delaney Horton finished fourth in the women's 1 mile open with a season best time of 5:08.37. Emily Pierce set a season best in the women's 1 mile invite with a time of 4:54.22 to take fifth in the event.
Jacob Carroll set a new personal record in the men's pole vault with a mark of 4.36m, which still stands as ninth in the record books.
