BUIES CREEK — Campbell baseball is set for its final non-conference series as it welcomes Wright State to Jim Perry Stadium beginning Friday, February. 27.
The final two games of the series will be streamed on FloCollege and live stats will be available for all three games.

LAST TIME OUT
- Campbell fell to #9 Coastal Carolina, 13-7, on Tuesday at Springs Brooks Stadium. Coastal Carolina got out to an early 6-0 lead but the Camels scored seven unanswered to take the lead in the fourth. The Chanticleers quickly responded in the bottom of the frame, retaking the lead for the final four innings.
- Joe Simpson and Jett Music led the offense going 2-for-3 for their first multi-hit performances of the season. The pair combined for three runs scored and three RBIs. Logan Chapman went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored.

- Campbell and Wright State meet for the first time in program history.
SCHRAMM STATS
- Redshirt junior Lukas Schramm has launched three home runs in the last three games for the Camels.
- Schramm leads the conference in home runs (3) slugging percentage (1.000) and is second in OPS (1.438). He ties for third in the conference with nine runs batted in.
- He recorded two home runs in game two against Troy making him the first Camel since Darnell Parker Jr. hit a pair against Delaware last season (5/15/25).

CARLOS CONNECTS
- Freshman outfielder Carlos Lugo batted .400 in the Camels four-game road stretch. The lefty went 6-for-15 with a double, two runs scored, and a pair of runs batted in.
- Lugo is fifth on the team in batting average (.259) and ties for third on the team with seven hits.
- He now has two multi-hit performances on the season highlighted by a 3-for-4 outing against Troy (2/21).
CAMEL STRONG
- Campbell comes into the season with one of the toughest non-conference strengths of schedule in the country.
- The schedule features seven opponents that went to postseason play last year including College World Series Runner-up Coastal Carolina and Super Regional hosts Duke and North Carolina.
- The Camels will face 12 opponents that finished last season in the top-100 in RPI.
- Campbell will square off against five conference or conference tournament champions from a season ago including Cal Poly, East Carolina Wright State, Coastal Carolina, and North Carolina.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- Wright State comes into the weekend with a 2-5 overall record.
- The Raiders opened its 2026 campaign dropping 2-of-3 against #15 Georgia but picked up a ranked win in the final game of the series, 6-3. They were then swept by Charlotte after being outscored 24-9. The Raiders are coming off midweek action against Kent State, where they picked up their second victory of the season, 8-1, in their home opener.
- Cy Turner leads the offense posting a .444 batting average including two doubles and three runs batted in. Hunter Warren follows with a .333 average including a team high two home runs.
- On the mound, Griffen Paige and Chet Lax lead the pitching staff with a 4.32 ERA. Paige has made two starts and has allowed four runs on seven hits and picked up five strikeouts in 8.1 innings of work. Lax has three appearances on the season making one start and has surrendered five runs on seven hits and leads the team with 11 strikeouts.
- Alex Sogard is in his eighth season at the helm and has led the Raiders to four Horizon League Championships and six regular season titles. Last season, the season was highlighted by a historical upset over No. 1 overall seed Vanderbilt in the NCAA Regional elimination game. Sogard is a 2010 graduate of NC State where he played for three seasons.
PREPARE FOR TAKEOFF
- Sophomore Jett Music has reached base in all eight games this season and is currently on a five-game hitting streak.
- Music is third on the team in batting average (.308), ties for second with eight hits and is second on the team with six runs batted in.
- The utility player ties for a conference lead two saves after picking up saves against Cal Poly in game one and East Carolina.
YEAR TWO AT THE HELM
- Chris Marx enters his second season at the helm of Campbell baseball.
- Marx led the Camels with ninth toughest non-conference strength of schedule last season.
- He led the squad to a 25-31 overall record and 15-12 conference record along with the Camels first appearance in the CAA tournament.
CAROLINA ON MY MIND
- Of the 55 games on the schedule, Campbell will stay in the state of North Carolina for 42 of those games.
- The Camels will compete against 11 of the 17 Division I opponents from North Carolina.
