WINSTON-SALEM — Mario Cantarero moved to sixth all-time in the indoor 800m as Campbell track & field competed in the Camel City Distance at JDL Fast Track on Saturday.
ON THE TRACK
Mario Cantarero took 15th in the men's 800m with the sixth fastest time in program history (1:54.61).
Emily Pierce finished eighth in the women's 1500m with a time of 4:39.06 for the 35th best time in the NCAA. Additionally, she placed ninth in the women's seeded mile with a time of 5:01.22.
Emelyn Lacour posted a personal best time of 5:08.62 to finish 13th in the women's mile and
Jenna VanRyn clocked in at 5:16.22 to finish 23rd.
Delaney Horton posted a time of 10:10.58 to finish fourth in the women's 3000m.
Mary Ella Bichey set a new personal best in the 3000m with a time of 10:43.35 along with
Sophie Cowart who clocked in a 10:56.94. Additionally,
Kylie White set a new personal record in the 3000m with a time of 11:20.24.
Andrew Barrett and
Craig Costa posted new personal best in the men's 1 mile run clocking in at 4:20.91 and 4:31.23, respectively.
Jake Stanley set a new personal best in the 3000m with a time of 9:23.01.
IN THE FIELD
Janelle Caldeira competed in the women's triple jump finishing 14th with a mark of 10.96.
