BUIES CREEK — Campbell baseball is set to host a pair of midweek contests at Jim Perry Stadium beginning with Duke on Tuesday before a ranked matchup against No. 16 Coastal Carolina on Wednesday. Both games are scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be streamed on FloCollege.

LAST TIME OUT
- Campbell picked up a CAA series victory over North Carolina A&T after taking two of the three over the Aggies. The series marks the second straight series win after the Camels opened conference play with a series win over William & Mary.
- The Camels scored a season-high 21 runs in the first game and went on to outscore the Aggies 35-18 on the weekend. They collected a season-high 16 hits in the opener.
- Campbell picked up its first shutout of the season in game two in run-rule fashion with a 10-0 win in seven innings. David Rossow was stellar on the mound tossing 6.1 innings allowing just three hits and a walk and picking up a new career-high 13 strikeouts.
- The offense stayed hot on the weekend as the Camels launched six homers off five different bats and tallied 16 extra-base hits.

SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS
- Duke comes into the midweek contest with a 15-7 overall record
- The Blue Devils picked up an ACC series victory over Miami in Durham over the weekend outscoring the Hurricanes 24-19.
- RJ Hamilton leads the Blue Devils with a .349 batting average including seven extra-base hits and 16 RBI. Tyler Albright is batting .309 with three doubles and 17 RBI.
- Jordan Regulski (0-1) will get the start on the bump and posts a 15.95 ERA in 7.1 innings of work.
- The Blue Devils are coached by first-year head coach Corey Mascara who was announced as the Blue Devils' 26th head coach in program history on June 19, 2025.
- The 2026 roster has been completely revamped, with only one position player in the starting lineup from Duke's final game of 2025 remaining (Tyler Albright) and only seven total pitchers returning.
SCOUTING THE CHANTICLEERS
- No. 16 Coastal Carolina enters with a 13-6 overall record and a win already over the Camels this season, 13-7 on Feb. 24 in Conway, S.C.
- The Chanticleers picked up a series sweep over conference opponent App State.
- Three Chanticleers are batting over .300 including Trace Mazon (.368), Dean Mihos (.364), and Walker Mitchell (.303).
- Coastal Carolina is led by Kevin Schnall who enters his second season at the helm after leading the Chanticleers to a national runner-up finish last season.
DEALING DAVE
- Right-handed pitcher David Rossow was stellar in his start against NC A&T on Saturday. The redshirt senior picked up his third win of the season after going a career-long 6.1 innings and picking up a career-high 13 strikeouts.
THE ROOKIE
- Freshman outfielder Carlos Lugo was tabbed CAA Rookie of the Week as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
- Lugo led the Camels offensively with a .588 average tallying 10 hits in 17 at-bats on the week including two for extra bases. He also registered two RBI, two walks, and a team-high eight runs scored.
- Lugo collected a multi-hit performance in each contest this week including going 3-for-4 with a double, homer, two RBI's and three runs in a 10-0 win over NC A&T.
- Lugo opened the scoring in game two of the series with NC A&T launching his first collegiate homer which would be all the Camels would need to secure the victory, 10-0 (7).
- The freshman is now second on the team with a .345 batting average and has collected 20 hits on the squad. He now leads the Camels with seven multi-hit performances on the season.
SIMPSON SWIPES
- Simpson tied the single game program record with five stolen bases in Sunday's matchup with William & Mary (3/8).
- The Clinton, Iowa native, has reached base in 12 straight games has a team-high 15 stolen bases.
- Campbell ranks 26th in the NCAA with 46 stolen bases on the season.
100 CLUB
- Redshirt junior Andy Schuldt tallied his 100th career RBI and run scored over the weekend against North Carolina A&T.
- The Cornelius, N.C., native reached the 100 career hits marker last season against NC A&T on May 2.
CAROLINA ON MY MIND
- Of the 55 games on the schedule, Campbell will stay in the state of North Carolina for 42 of those games.
- The Camels will compete against 11 of the 17 Division I opponents from North Carolina.
CAMEL STRONG
- Campbell comes into the season with one of the toughest non-conference strengths of schedule in the country.
- The schedule features seven opponents that went to postseason play last year including College World Series Runner-up Coastal Carolina and Super Regional hosts Duke and North Carolina.
- The Camels will face 12 opponents that finished last season in the top-100 in RPI.
- Campbell will square off against five conference or conference tournament champions from a season ago including Cal Poly, East Carolina Wright State, Coastal Carolina, and North Carolina.

- The Campbell pitching staff ranks 28th in the nation in strikeout-to-walk ratio out of the 300 ranked DI schools. The Camels post a 3.14 ratio and are second in the league behind UNCW. Auburn leads the country with a 5.76 ratio.
- The staff also ranks 23rd in the nation in walks allowed per nine innings with a mark of 3.30.
