RALEIGH, N.C. - Dorcus Ewoi topped her own school record in the 1500 meters as Campbell opened the outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays.
Ewoi took first place in her heat with a time of 4:15.69 and placed seventh overall in the event consisting of over 180 runners.
C.J. McBride picked up where he left off from the indoor season, capturing first overall in the men's high jump after clearing 2.15 meters (7' 0.5"). The mark currently ranks tied for fourth best in the country.
In the men's 100 meters, Andre Bent finished second overall with a personal best time of 10.54. Jamal Miller took sixth overall with a personal best time of 10.61.
Chastity Pickett held her own against a pair of professional hurdlers as she finished fourth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 13.37. Pickett finished with the second-fastest collegiate time in the event.
Jaden Jenkins earned a personal best time of 14.41 in the men's 110 meter hurdles, placing ninth overall in the event.
Campbell returns tomorrow for the final day of the Raleigh Relays.
