Camels compete at VertKlasse

HIGH POINIT - A handful of Camels competed this weekend at the VertKlasse Meet at High Point University.

Destiny Bailey-Perkins turned in the top finish of the weekend earning second place in the women's long jump with a 6.13m, only .01 shy of her all-time best. Ticora Gaskin finished fifth in the same event with a 5.99m.

Autumn Judd grabbed sixth place in the women's discus, tallying a new personal best at 48.67.

Zach Stein Drago took sixth in the men's javelin with a mark of 56.65m.

Omare McBride earned ninth in the women's triple jump with an 11.51m.

Omar Ibrahim threw a new season-best of 52.89 in the men's hammer throw for a 10th-place finish. He also set a season-best in the hammer throw with 15.04 to finish 10th.

The Fighting Camels will take a weekend off before returning to action on April 19 at the Aggie Classic at NC A&T. Follow @GoCamelsTFXC for the latest team updates and content throughout the season.
