In addition, she was voted Campbell’s Outstanding Female Athlete for her final three years.

During her basketball career, Mueller scored 1,276 points – the second-highest total in CU history at the time – and set a school record with 904 rebounds.  During her career on the hardwood, Campbell won 61 games and lost just 39.  In her senior season, the Camels won 19 games.

Her accomplishments extended beyond the collegiate realm.  Mueller was honored five times as an all-state Summer League softball player and earned All-America recognition as a third baseman in 1984.  She was named MVP of the state summer tournament in 1979 and 1980.

Following her collegiate playing career, Mueller served as assistant basketball coach under Wanda Watkins and also coached the Campbell softball team.

She coached basketball and track and taught at South Johnston High School for nearly three decades before joining the Campbell University faculty in 2016 as an adjunct instructor in the Exercise Science program.
